Workshop Description:
A practical workshop on the basics of theatre makeup, including adding highlights and shadows to change the shape of a face. Specialty techniques such as creating scars and aging will also be covered.
Instructor Bio:
Sarah Elizabeth has studied art and theatre at Bluffton University and Goshen College where she worked on numerous shows including Goshen College's Torba (hair and FX make-up), Die Fliedermaus (hair), and You Can't Take it With You (hair and FX make-up). Since relocating to Chicago, her designs have been seen with Right Brain Project’s Empire Builders by Boris Vian; where she created a disintegrating human like creature with FX make-up, prosthetics and costuming. This winter/spring she will continue to work with Right Brain Project as well as Signal Ensemble and Backstage Theater.
