Instructor Bio:
Author of over thirty (fully produced) productions, Jeremy Menekseoglu’s work has been seen in Russia, New York, Berlin, and throughout the U.S. and his play ISMENE was published by Theaterstückverlag in Germany. As Artistic Director and sole playwright for Chicago’s Dream Theatre, he has produced powerful, vivid, and sometimes frightening works.
The Chicago Reader described his play Ismene as a "weirdly satisfying fairy tale" and the Chicago Tribune wrote that Anna, In The Darkness was "a chilling experience- you feel like you're stuck in that dang living room with her, exposed and susceptible to the lurking danger outside." Jenn Goddu of Chicago's PERFORMINK ranked his production of Ismene as one of her top five shows of 2006, right before Pillowman at Steppenwolf.
